GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides leadership in analysis and functional design of IT solutions. Identifies impact to other solutions or projects and works with other BA's and stakeholders to identify options and assist in preparing the business case and recommendations.

Manages the creation of deliverables independently or through BA team. Provides technical, functional guidance on specific project deliverables, and provides input for performance development and goals.

Provides business or clinical leadership through process design and knowledge of IT trends specific to area of specialization. Effectively and consistently communicates and clarifies requirements to product development/external solution providers, testing, and training/knowledge management.

Effectively manages relationships with various stakeholder groups (the business, project management, product development/external solution providers, testing teams, etc.), and provides technical and subject matter knowledge. Identifies impact to other solutions or projects, and works with other BA's and stakeholders to identify options and recommendations.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• College Graduate with 3 or more years of relevant work experience
   

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience with MEDITECH or other clinical information system vendor's Laboratory and Blood Bank applications desired.
• Medical Technologist license preferred.   
• Knowledge of Laboratory department operational processes including regulations desired.
• Business analysis experience in an application development environment -- either provider organization or vendor -- will be considered.

Candidate must also be detailed oriented, have good organizational skills, possess strong leadership, follow-through and analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and possess strong collaboration, facilitation and negotiation skills.

Some travel required.
