We currently have a full-time opportunity for a highly motivated individual with previous management experience to fill this leadership role in Information Services. Under the direction of the Corporate IS Executive / Hospital CEO, the Director of Information Services will have responsibility to provide leadership for the implementation, support and optimization of technology solutions.
The successful candidate will analyze trends in technology; assess the impact of emerging technology on the environment; provide solutions to address technology and business issues; provide leadership, direction and supervision of the organization’s IS needs; be responsible for staffing, supervision and ensuring staff competency; evaluate performance of staff; and direct the development of cost-effective operating and capital budgets related to IS needs throughout the hospital.
Requires previous experience working in Information Systems; knowledge of principles, practices and techniques of management of information technology, program planning and program management; the ability to provide effective leadership, supervision, staff development/counseling and departmental fiscal controls; the ability to organize assignments and establish appropriate work priorities; and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Prefer supervisory and Healthcare Information technology experience and a Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field.
