Witt/Kieffer has been retained by Memorial Hermann Health System (MHHS), located in Houston, Texas, to conduct the search for the Executive Vice President of Information Services and Chief Information Officer (CIO).
This is an outstanding opportunity to lead IS for one of the most successful health systems in the country. MHHS is a $6 billion organization that is supported by a success driven culture, dedicated to quality care and patient safety. This opportunity is for a leader who will make a significant impact, by playing a key role in ensuring that the strategic priorities of the health system are achieved, in particular, delivering on a consumer centric model of care.
Reporting to the CEO, the CIO will serve as a key member of the health system’s leadership team, ensuring that the IS division’s operations support the organizational mission, goals and objectives. The CIO will manage the information technology plans, operations, processes, and resources within MHHS. In addition, the CIO will provide strategic and operational leadership to guide the future direction of IS, thereby enabling high quality service to clinical, business, research and education operations. With the Cerner system installed, optimization will be a key focus along with the development of a robust analytics platform and the technology strategy in support of consumerism.
The ideal candidate is a strategic, innovative IT executive, preferably within a large, complex healthcare organization, who is collaborative and service oriented. Experience in the development of an analytics platform in support of population health management and accountable care as well as leading the technology strategy for consumer engagement is essential.
