Business/Data Information Analyst Senior

6 Months of contract to Begin with Extension

Monterey Park, CA

Day to Day Responsibilities of this Position and Description of Project:

Under the direction of the Vice President of Medical Services, this position provides

analytical, research, and technical database management support for Medical

Management. The analysis is business-oriented to support Medical Service Program

applications for Carelst Health Plan operations.

The position serves as the main analytic and database management function focused for

Medical Management programs to produce a high level of analytic reports and data flow

projects on a regular and ad hoc basis. In this role the analyst will assist various Carelst

business units in improving efficiency, improving quality, assuring compliance, assisting

with cost control and revenue maximization, and other projects.

The incumbent must be proficient in collecting, managing, assuring data quality, and

reporting of all data relevant to Medical Management programs at Carelst.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in health, human sciences, statistical sciences, or computer

sciences with 2 years of experience working with population-based data and

reporting, preferably in a managed care setting involving Medicare and Medicaid

programs.

OR 6 years of progressive accumulative experience in the industry.

At least one year of experience working with clinical data.

OR at least 2 years of related work in computer data collections and analysis

programming or systems analysis.

Ability to manipulate and convert various data types, SQL data warehouse

management with Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server, advanced usage of Microsoft

Access and Excel, batch automation, advanced reporting writing.

Programming skills in VB and/or VBA.
