The Majority staff of the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Veterans' Affairs is seeking a health IT, informatics, or EHR professional to serve as a subject matter expert and investigator. This position will conduct oversight of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) EHR Modernization program and other VA enterprise technology programs and projects. This position involves collecting technical information and translating it into briefings, memoranda, and policy recommendations in an extremely faced paced environment. It is a full time, on-site position in Washington, DC. Some travel is required. It is not a developer or IT operations role, or an entry-level position. Government agency, contractor, medical, or EHR industry backgrounds are equally acceptable. Prior Capitol Hill experience is helpful but not required. Certifications including CHISP, CHTS, CPEHR, CPHIMS, RHIT, RHIA, or equivalent are advantageous. Qualified veterans are strongly encouraged to apply.
