About the Job

As the Revenue Cycle Management Product Manager you will have ownership and accountability as the organizational Subject Matter Expert for all of the revenue cycle features, products and solutions that support our customers current and future prospect reimbursement models.  You will collaborate with application services, training, implementations, support and customers, industry experts and consultants to ensure that Qualifacts is makes the right investments in our RCM product suite to address key market needs and drives business value for both customers and Qualifacts.

  • Reviews, designs and implements product direction, planning, functional and go to market requirements surrounding customer patient intake, RCM data collection and integrity, billing, third party payer relationships, collections and other functions to ensure high RCM performance.

  • Works closely and frequently with customers, focused user groups and participates in key healthcare associations to understand and ensure the “voice of the customer” is reflected in work processes.  Partners with internal and external domain experts to highlight emerging practice trends, including fee for service, risk based contracting, and value based payment models.

  • Collaborates with Sales and Marketing, Client Services, and Application Development Services (Business Analyst and Development) to translate problem statements, product needs, market analysis, competitive analysis, and regulatory environment factors into actionable strategies, high level product requirements, roadmaps, and tactics for the product.

  • Creates and defines the multi-year revenue cycle product roadmap and strategy that is aligned with customers improved RCM financial performance and overall company objectives and mission.

  • Creates quality business cases to justify investment in additional product capabilities, including go-to-market adoption strategy, revenue planning where applicable, and relevant metrics and measurements for success criteria. Conducts or evaluates product research to further understand the competitive landscape and profile for the segment, opportunities for growth, and best-in-class product requirements that deliver measurable value for customers.

  • Defines and communications effectively required tradeoffs relating to product direction appropriately balancing internal stakeholder objectives, current customer requests, and market demands.

  • Measures utilization of all RCM features, products and services to determine business value to customers and company and works with Training and Implementations for optimal adoption.

  • Serves as the primary thought leader in this area of expertise, and provides internal and external training/development. Evangelize for the product by presenting to customers and users groups; represent the product at trade shows; sell product roadmap internally; plays a strategic role in the sales process; provide sales training, and generate enthusiasm for the product.

  • Overnight travel required, up to 30% of the time

  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Requires 10 years’ of experience in Revenue Cycle concepts, practices, and procedures, or healthcare billing fields, or in a related area.
  • Requires 5 years’ experience working within electronic healthcare billing (either as the provider, partner or user).
  • Requires 2 years’ experience working in an RCM Consultant role with demonstrable business value validation
  • Requires exceptional communication (written and oral), presentation, and interpersonal skills across a wide breadth and depth of stakeholders.
  • Requires a demonstrated ability to convert market opportunity into operational plans with development organization.
  • Requires demonstrated knowledge of financial and accounting applications for managing healthcare-related activities and transactions.
  • Requires a demonstrated knowledge and understanding of legislation and regulatory bodies affecting healthcare revenue practices.
  • May require overnight travel up to 30% of the time

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of EHR/EMR software and software development processes
